There’s more Dublin Bikes hitting the streets.

The first batch of new stations are coming on stream between now and mid-December with two opening today.

Four years on from the initial launch, 36 thousand people have a yearly subscription and 6 million journeys have been taken on them.

Today the first of new stations under the 35 million Euro expansion scheme opened.

Between now and the middle of next month – 10 will come online while others will be made bigger..

It’s also hoped that the bikes will be sponsored in the future

In total 58 new stations from the Docklands to Heuston Station will open between now and July of next year.
