Drivers are being warned to remember the 'morning after' when out celebrating this Christmas.
Drinkaware is reminding motorists that they may still be over the legal limit, if they get behind the wheel after a night of knocking back the festive spirits.
According to Garda stats, over 400 incidents of 'drivers under the influence' were detected between 8am and 1pm on weekend mornings, between January and September this year.
The biggest offenders were in the 30 -34 year old age bracket.
