British Pop Stars Use Ireland As Tax Haven

British pop stars are using Ireland as a tax haven.

That's according to a report in today's Sunday Times, which says that Olly Murs, JLS and Cheryl Cole are among the stars taking advantage of our lower corporation tax rate.

Ireland's corporation tax is just 12.5%, compared with the UK's 23%.

The report claims that the popstars have set up Irish companies to avoid paying the higher rate.

Accounts filed for Olly Murs shows the singer paid just over sixty thousand euro on earnings of over a half a millio
