There was a fall in the number of people staying local has fallen in every county except Carlow, Kildare, Offaly and Dublin.
Overall the proportion of people not leaving a 10 kilometre radius of their home nationally stands at 65.1 percent.
The percentage of people staying local fell by around zero-point-six percent,according to latest figures from the CSO.
The largest fall was in Carlow where 48.6 percent of people went more than 10 kilometres from their home in the week that ended on March 19th.
On the other end, the biggest increase was were both in Kerry and Wexford which each had a 1.7 percent jump in those staying local.
Around half of people in Roscommon and Mayo are going futher than 10 kilometres from their homes.
While, Dublin has 80 percent of people staying local, which the CSO says is due to a proximity to services in the city.
The data is compiled using data from Three Ireland phone users.
