44 more people are confirmed to have died from COVID-19 in the Republic.
388 new cases of the virus have also been reported here today.
It brings the total number of deaths here to 730 and the number of confirmed cases to 16,040.

There has also been a denotification of one previously reported death, which is reflected in the overall total of 730 deaths.
Figures released by the Department of Health today also show 8,377 of the 15,186 COVID-19 patients have recovered fully - meaning a total of 55% of coronavirus patients here have recovered.
