The number of people in Dublin city yesterday was 40 per cent higher than last Monday.
Dublin Town has footfall counters across the city which recorded over 57,000 people yesterday.
The group says while the figure is down 80 per cent on this time last year, it's a massive increase considering the measures that are in place during the pandemic.
CEO of Dublin Town Richard Guiney says while the number of people is well below an average day, it's been an alarming jump since last week, which suggests people are becoming relaxed when it comes to restrictions.
