300 catalytic converters worth €150,000 have been seized during a search operation in Dublin.
Gardaí searched a business premises in St Margaret's in Co Dublin yesterday morning.
Gardaí from the DMR Divisional Crime Task Force searched a business premises under warrant, assisted by personnel from Ballymun Garda station, Fingal County Council and a Customs and Revenue Officer and dog handler.
The search was carried as part of the ongoing investigation into the theft of catalytic converters throughout the Dublin Metropolitan Region.
Gardaí seized 300 catalytic converters weighing 1275kg with an estimated value of €150,000.

A vehicle which had no tax or insurance was also seized during the operation.

Officers say that during the the search operation, a vehicle entered the premises which had no tax or insurance, and was seized by gardai.
Investigations are continuing.
