A 19 year old man has been killed in a crash in Arklow in Wicklow. He's the third person to die on the roads in as many days.
This crash happened when a car hit a ditch on Vale Road at around 9.40 last night.
A 19 year old man who was in the front passenger seat was killed while the 18 year old driver received non life threatening injuries.
As a result, the stretch of road is currently closed for a technical examination and local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.
This is the third fatality on the roads in the past three days, on Sunday morning a 16 year old boy was killed in a car crash in Carlow.
And yesterday a man in his 50s was killed in a motorbike crash on the M50 in Dublin.
