A 16-year-old girl has been seriously injured after being hit by a car in south Dublin.
Gardaí in Blackrock are appealing for witnesses to the collision between a car and a pedestrian on the N11 Stillorgan Road shortly before 10 o'clock last night.
It happened on the southbound lanes of the dual carriageway near Foster Avenue.
The pedestrian was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital, where her injures are understood to be serious but not life-threatening.
The driver of the car was not injured.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward. They are particularly appealing to those with camera footage of the collision to make it available to them.
