A 10-year-old boy and two women have been seriously injured following a stabbing incident in Cork City.
They were injured in an aggravated burglary which happened at around 11pm last night at a house in the Glanmire Road area of Mayfield.
The two women are in their 20s and 40s.
They were taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment along with the young boy who all received apparent stab wounds.
Another woman who is 18-years-old also received minor injuries at the house.
Gardai have arrested a man in his 50s in relation to this incident.
He is being questioned at Mayfield Garda Station while the Garda investigation continues.
