10.5 million cigarettes worth over €7.3m have been seized in Dublin Port.
The illegal cigarettes, branded ‘Blue River' were discovered when Revenue Officers searched a container from Vietnam that had arrived into Ireland on a vessel from Rotterdam.
The search was carried out with the help of Revenue's mobile X-Ray scanner and detector dog Waffle.
The cigarettes were concealed in a load that was described as furniture.
Investigations are ongoing.
