98FM Scoops 3 Gold Awards at the Oscars of the Radio Industry

It’s been a fantastic year for 98FM. From a dramatic Leap Year Proposal at the Aviva Stadium, former Boyzone star Keith Duffy taking to the airways over the summer, to ‘Dermot & Dave’ winning an award at the prestigious 2012 New York Festivals’ World’s Best Radio Programs. Now its official, the station picked up THREE gold awards at the PPI Awards held last night in the Lyrath Hotel, Kilkenny. (Friday 12th October 2012).

Known as the Oscars of the radio industry, The PPI Radio Awards are held as the industry standard in Ireland and recognise the art and skill of radio production and programming. The black tie gala event which was attended by the who’s who of the radio world was a glittering celebration of the creativity and talent on Irish radio today.

98FM’s gold awards include Best Promotion for ‘Knock Knock’ , Best General Music Programme for Dermot & Dave and Dermot also won Music Broadcaster of the Year. These are exciting times for the Dublin station.
