Tiger Woods has bagged a 72nd Tour win – overtaking Jack Nicklaus on the all-time list. On 8 under par, Tiger won the AT&T at Congressional by two strokes from Bo van Pelt.
The former World Number 1 posted a final day 69 to land the winners cheque. It was a weekend of contrast in the world of golf, with Tiger closing in on the most ever PGA Tour wins, there was a first ever European Tour victory for Welshman Jamie Donaldson. He clinched the Irish Open. On 18 under par he was four shots clear. Padraig Harrington was best of the Irish on 12 under.
