Mexican bandit rides off with 3 points for United

Chelsea have surrendered their unbeaten Premier League record.

They’ve been beaten 3-2 at Stamford Bridge by Manchester United, who now move within a point of the leaders.

United went 2-0 up inside 12 minutes when a Robin Van Persie shot cannoned off the post onto David Luiz and into the Chelsea net, before Van Persie turned home an Antonio Valencia cross.

Juan Mata pulled one back with a beautifully curled left-footed free a minute before the break before Ramires headed them level eight minutes into the second half.

It then fell apart for Chelsea who first had Branislav Ivanovic sent off for a challenge on Ashley Young, then Fernando Torres received a second yellow for a perceived dive when tackled by Jonny Evans.

Javier Hernandez put United 3-2 in front, the officials missing him coming from an offside position to convert a Rafael cross.
