Whitney Houston stars in Sparkle her last ever movie role, set for release on August 17th. Whitney was also executive producer on the remake of the 1976 film before she passed away at the age of 48 on February 11th. Whitney plays the mother of three girls who form a singing group and struggle with fame and drug addiction. It’s almost like art imitating reality for poor Whitney Houston.
Ceelo green also stars in Sparkle. The Voice Coach was left mortified this week after mug shots of him appeared in the American tabloids. Photos of him were printed after an arrest 11 years ago for allegedly threatening his then wife. His wife also accused him of smashing the windows of their Jaguar before storming off. Ceelo has said he used to be an aggressive person but music saved him. Ceelo has revealed he thinks Whitney Houston will get an Oscar for her performance in Sparkle. Ceelo says he admires the young Jordan Sparks for her performance in Sparkle and concedes it was daunting for him too as it was his first movie role….
