Princess Diana had plans to make a movie with Kevin Costner before her death.  It’s not just a rumour either – Kevin Costner has said himself that they were in talks to make a movie about her life – almost like The Bodyguard 2 but instead of protecting a pop star, he would be protecting a princess

He says he contacted the Royals to put them right when they denied reports of a possible movie all those years ago before Diana’s tragic death.

Kevin said “Diana and I had been talking about doing Bodyguard 2.  She told me she was having her own internal struggles.  When she died she was obviously all over the news and I knew that it was an interesting story that I had but I never brought it up.  She wanted me to write it for her and I said I’d tailor the story for her.  She was very interested”.
